Oil Paintings – Simon Chilcott (1968) is a English born artist who lives in Southern England.

I began painting as a teenager, But it was not until I reached 30 that I began to put my oil paintings up for sale and my whole collection sold within two weeks, I then realized my future was set and I could now afford to fund my passion for art.

My oil paintings are influenced by modern techniques and nature to come together as contemporary landscapes, seascapes, modern art.
I enjoy being spontaneous with my work because I think that being spontaneous helps to brings out the randomness and creativity in all humans.

I only use the very finest oils in my oil paintings.
The canvas are triple primed and on a stretched frame the oil paintings continue around the edges so there is no need for a frame as they are ready to hang, But you can still add one if you so wish.
All my oil paintings are finished with a coat of varnish to protect the oils and to bring the colours out even more.
